We’ve all been anticipating it and we finally have a glimpse of what to expect from Dragon Ball Super Manga Chapter 74 on 7/20/2021. Vegeta is about to face off against Granolah, and it looks like there will indeed be a huge fight. The Chapter starts off showing images of the Sugarian people leaving the city, looking rather concerned over the destruction taking place not far from the city, stemming from the battle Goku and Granolah just concluded.

Next we have a scene of Vegeta and Granolah talking. Granolah is still accusing Vegeta of working for the Frieza Force while Vegeta is trying to explain to him that he’s wrong. Vegeta tells Granolah he was still a kid when the Cerealian’s were wiped out by the Saiyans and he is having none of what Vegeta is selling. Of course Vegeta is still just as confident as ever.

They continue their conversation with Vegeta telling Granolah that he hasn’t worked for Frieza in a long time, and that Frieza isn’t his boss anymore. Granolah calls Vegeta a liar and tells him he is just trying to double cross his master to save his own skin. From there the fight gets ready to start. Oatmeal also tries to explain to Granolah that Goku and Vegeta are not evil, and they are likely telling the truth. Granolah still isn’t listening. He doesn’t care if they are working for Frieza or not. He simply wants revenge against the Saiyan race. His prejudice towards the Saiyans will not end until they have faced total extinction.

Realizing that Granolah won’t listen to him Vegeta begins to power up. Vegeta tells Granolah that he won’t just kill him, but he will erase his entire timeline as well. In the draft pages it is hard to tell, but it seems that at the moment Vegeta is using his normal ki. Later draft pages suggest though that this may be a combination of his normal ki with the hakai. In this panel it almost looks as though Vegeta is charging a Final Flash attack. It definitely looks cool. Vegeta has also mentioned that clones and fusion are useless against him due to his Forced Spirit Fission technique.

Surprisingly enough though it turns out what we are seeing is not a final flash attack. Vegeta instead aims his attack at the ground. It is hard to tell one hundred percent what Vegeta is doing yet but it looks to be a ground attack similar to what Moro used in Goku and Vegeta’s battle with him. Vegeta places his hands on the ground his ki starts to destroy it, lifting rocks up in the air around Granolah.

It looks as though rocks have started to levitate around Granolah, and Vegeta has started to blow them up. At this point we should be thinking back to when Vegeta trained with Beerus, and Beerus had him destroying rocks to first learn the hakai. This could very well be a form of the hakai. It seems Vegeta is using the rocks as a medium, and somewhat of a prison, in order to prevent Granolah from escaping his attack. This attack likely won’t work on Granolah, but it is certainly smart. It is also possible that this is not a form of hakai at all, but rather regular ki. But the way Beerus had Vegeta blowing up rocks makes this look almost exactly like a hakai based attack. This is very smart on Vegeta’s part too. From a tactical perspective, cutting off Granolah’s area to escape is a huge necessity. Similar to what Frieza and Gohan did against Dyspo in the Tournament of Power.

Granolah appears to have been caught in Vegeta’s massive explosion, and it is almost certain at this point what we are seeing is the hakai. It looks as if Granolah’s face is starting to vanish as the explosion detonates. Still, it doesn’t mean the attack will work on him. We also have to remember it seems Granolah has some strange form of hakai himself. He was given a bunch of techniques when he made his wish on the dragon balls. Not only is he strong, but he has techniques from all of the best fighters in the universe. Granolah will probably find a way to avoid this attack. There is still a slim chance that this is just a normal ki blast from Vegeta, however, it looks almost identical to the explosions made whenever Vegeta used hakai on the rocks during his training with Beerus. Toyotaro has done a bad job of portraying the difference in appearance between the hakai and regular ki blasts in the manga. It could be either one, but my money is on it being the hakai.

Goku is being shown still on the ground as the explosion is happening. It makes me wonder if Goku will get back up and help Vegeta at some point. Why else they would continue showing Goku’s unconscious body? Should we be worrying about Goku’s safety here? The blasts seem to be very close to Goku, and with his guard down he is vulnerable to them and likely would not survive a hit by one of them. Especially not a stray hakai attack. Hopefully at some point Goku will get back up and assist Vegeta if it turns out Granolah is more than he can handle. He looks pretty out for the count at the moment though. At this point it is clear Vegeta is on his own, at least for now. The blast has so much power it is knocking the Sugarians off the freeway. This will indeed be an epic battle of two god tier warriors. Let’s just hope Vegeta wins. He deserves a win like this for once.

That is the last of the Dragon Ball Super manga chapter 74 draft pages. Check back here on 7/20/2021 for our full review of the chapter. Give us a follow on our Medium account to see the review as soon as we post it. It looks like we are in for one awesome fight next chapter.
