A single draft page of Dragon Ball Super Manga chapter 74 was just release and it seems Vegeta may not actually end up fighting Granolah at all! Rather, Vegeta is going to try to convince Granolah that he no longer works for the Saiyans! Or at least, that’s what Toyotaro wants you to think based on this draft page. The reality is likely going to be far different.

On the contrary! It seems much more likely that our little thick-headed piece of cereal is going to try and fight Vegeta with ear plugs in, just like we assumed he was going to. But will Granolah actually win this fight? Will Vegeta end up talking him down out of it? Or better yet, will Vegeta win the fight? Well Vegeta fans, hold on to your absurdly spiky hair, because we’re going on a rough ride into the unknown.

In Chapter 73 we saw Goku face off against Granolah and it ended with all of us in shock and rage. Ultra Instinct actually lost!? What!? How can this possibly be? Believe me folks, I feel your pain. That was some straight bullcrap! However, I think we are going to see Vegeta pull off a miracle in this next fight. In the last chapter Granolah’s clone actually lost to Ultra Instinct Goku. We know from the prior use of the move in the series that the multi-form technique Halves the users power to create a clone. Granolah does indeed say he divided his power in an unspecified amount, and ended up having his clone get wrecked by Ultra Instinct Goku. Then Granolah came in at the last second and gave every Dragon Ball fan the biggest hate boner for Granolah that we have had for any non-villain Dragon Ball Character ever.

It’s not because Granolah is a bad character per se. But more because using a wish on the dragon to get that kind of hacks is ridiculously stupid writing. Usually the power of the Dragon is correlated with the size of the balls used to summon it. That is why the Super Dragon Balls are the size of planets. Well I’d like to point out that in the Dragon Ball Super Broly movie Goku specifically stated that Frieza couldn’t wish to be stronger than him and Vegeta, because it is outside of Shenron’s power.

Are you trying to tell me that somehow the Cerealian balls are that much more powerful than the Earth’s dragon balls, and they don’t have a cool down time?! That is insane! I’m sorry guys but I have a hard time taking those hard to swallow pills. The worst part of all of it? Goku and Vegeta spent all that time training after he made the wish so they could get strong enough to beat him, and somehow Goku still lost the fight. Wasn’t the point of Ultra Instinct to get rid of his openings? Who did the dragon base this wish on? Whis said they were the strongest mortals in the universe at the time so what’s the deal? Did the dragon base it on gods after all? It makes no sense at all. How are Akira Toriyama and Toyotaro justifying this new Ultra Instinct retcon? Now the form gets slower the longer Goku is in it? What was the point of all that training then? Goku seemed like he was in Ultra Instinct longer when he fought Moro! Tell me there isn’t something seriously wrong with the logic here.

You know why they’re doing this though? I think I know, and I am going to claim it right now. We are about to get new forms folks. Goku is somehow either about to stack Super Saiyan, or maybe Kaioken on top of Ultra Instinct. Vegeta will damn sure be using the hakai with Blue Evolved and I am willing to bet it is going to look an awful lot like the new Berserk Blue form Vegeta got in Super Dragon Ball Heroes Big Bang Mission.

They likely didn’t want to give us blatant spoilers for the next chapter but this form is probably coming folks. The visual aspect of it anyway. It won’t be called berserk blue though, this form will have a different name entirely. It will likely just be his hakaishin form stacked with Super Saiyan Blue evolved, and maybe also stacked on regular Super Saiyan Blue. It will basically be his God of Destruction form just like Toppo had in the Tournament of Power. His fighting abilities will likely be tremendously increased just like they were in Heroes, and he may actually be able to put up a good match against Granolah. My predictions is that Vegeta will, and may even have a shot at winning this fight, maybe anyway.

Now I don’t know if he will win. Let’s be honest, Vegeta’s track record says he probably won’t. But when it comes to putting up a decent fight, I think he will do at least that much in the next chapter. I would definitely prefer if he won though. At the very least he will probably bring this fight to a stalemate and the Heeters will jump in, and interrupt them with the newly powered up Gas. Gas is likely going to be the real threat of this arc. The Heeters probably will get their wish on the dragon balls and we will see Gas become the new strongest in the universe. Granolah will at that point realize he was lied to and then help Goku and Vegeta fight the Heeters. Once OG 73 comes back in we will have a real mess on our hands.

I’m calling it right now. New forms, new ally, new enemy, Vegeta doesn’t lose for once. It’s coming I can sense it like Frieza’s power before Trunk’s killed him. All of those things means that Toei can sell more toys so it’s genius from their perspective. From our perspective? It’s just too soon for most of it. Goku needs to master Ultra Instinct for real before stacking it with another form like Super Saiyan. I should specify that I don’t mean stacking the like he was last chapter. I mean taking the white haired version and making it into a Super Saiyan like how Super Saiyan God stacks Super Saiyan to make Super Saiyan Blue. As for Vegeta, well actually, I’m okay with Vegeta getting a new form. He kind of needs it. He got screwed with Blue Evolved. It isn’t anywhere close to the power of Ultra Instinct and it was honestly pretty unfair that they did that to him. Blue Evolved is better than Blue but it is about the equivalent of Goku’s Blue Kaioken×20 which is strong but immeasurably weaker than Ultra Instinct. I don’t think hakai will make Vegeta physically stronger or fix that gap, but at least it is something to help him catch up with Goku through technique. It will give him some tricky powers that Granolah may not be able to deal with so that will likely help in his fight with him.

Let’s not forget the hakai gave Toppo the ability to dissolve ki blasts, something Granolah has been heavily relying on so far. And on top of that it acts as a full body shield and will defend Vegeta from his pressure point attacks. This will take a lot of Granolah’s firepower away. Vegeta also knows about the Cerealian race and their right eyes. If he can take out the right eye he might just be able to beat Granolah. Plus his earring sparkling, his confidence, and the fact he didn’t do the pointing thing make me feel really good about this fight. He may even have a chance at winning. Until the next chapter comes out we will just have to wait to see what happens. Can’t wait for the new Goku, Vegeta, Granolah, and Heeter toys to drop Toei. We all know they are. And don’t forget to follow our Medium Page and check back on the 20th/21st for our full Dragon Ball Super Manga Chapter 74 review! This is going to be good.
